Our chocolate sheep skins coming from various rare breed sheep including Hebridean, Manx Loghtan, North Ronaldsay, Shetland
and Soay sheep. All of these breeds are part of Northern Short tailed primitive group of breeds. These sheep are mainly found in the Northern Isles. They are a hardy breed, capable of surviving wet and windy conditions but they do poorly at altitude.
Their fleeces vary in coloration and wool type. In terms of coloration I source a range of browns from darkest chocolate to a light brown with almost caramel tones. In terms of wool type they range from dense, springy wool to longer silkier, thinner wool.
I am happy to send a photo of the sheep skins in stock or source one to specifically meet your needs.
